THE BOKKSU STORY

Bokksu, From Japan Outward

Through authentic Asian food, Bokksu works to narrow the distance between cultures and invite new tastes.

A Founder in Japan

Living in Japan introduced Bokksu founder Danny Taing to local snacks he enjoyed, yet those discoveries were hard to obtain back in the United States.

The 2015 Turning Point

Danny brought Japanese snacks back to the United States in 2015 and shared them with people close to him. Because many were local specialties made by family businesses without overseas sales, he saw an opportunity to make discovery easier.

From One Living Room

Since 2016, Bokksu has traced its shipping story from boxes Danny prepared in his living room to a company whose offering extends beyond the monthly subscription box.
